Four cases of infantile scurvy, an infant of 9 months old and three children who are all mentally retarded aged 2 to 4 years, were reported at Pusan Children¢¥s Children¢¥s Charity Hospital during one year 1670. These cases had been nourished by artificial feedings with rieegruel and boiled cow¢¥s milk without additional vitamin C supply. These cases had manifested painful swelling of thigh, and knee joints, gingival bleeding and rosary. Roentgenographie findings of bone revealed rosaries in all costo chondral junctions intwo cases and typical scorbutic changes in both femur in all cases. Pain ceased in 5 to 12 days and swelling subsided in one to two months of hospital life. A brief review of literature was done.
